Classic GTO

Its awesome!! But in case you need more details, here are a few things  you should know about owning a classic GTO.  First of all, you will get to know all of your neighbors. A classic GTO is a conversation starter. That is usually a good thing. Most neighbors will appreciate the car.  although, a few, will think it is too loud and be annoyed.  Of course, that’s just part of the fun! You will also need to be aware of the fact that when you run errands, it’s going to take longer than it usually would. That’s becuase, people are going to notice the car and they are going to want to stop and talk about it. Plan extra time for running errands when you are in your GTO.  Just driving, is another issue. You are going to have a lot of people driving beside you or looking in the rear view mirrors trying to get a good look at your classic car, meanwhile they are not really watching where they are  going so watch out for that!  Many will try to ask questions about your car  while driving. People will wave and point and give the “thumbs up” sign. It can be difficult to pay attention to your driving with all that activity going on.  Then there is the “car enthusists” who will come out of the wood work. You are going to have people come up to you and tell you their stories of cars they should have kept or plans they have for the classic car they want. It’s like gaining a whole new set of friends. In fact you WILL get a new group of friends, because you will get to know others with  classic GTO’s, when you take your car to car shows.  That is a big part of the joy of owning your classic.
